Its been just two weeks since Alan Smurfit took home £16,000 from the EPT London and whaddya know - he’s at it again.
The bubble has burst at the European Poker Tour in Baden, Austria, and Smurfit is one of the remaining 23 players. He is guaranteed €12,860 already, but will be looking to improve on his London performance by making the final table this time around. First place is €670,000.
It has been an incredible year already for Smurfit who won his first WSOP bracelet this June in the $1,500 PL Omaha event winning $464,000. Since then he has cashed in the WPT Bellagio Cup in July and the EPT London in September.
As we approach the final two tables Smurfit is short stacked with 46k in chips.
David Sonelin (300k) and Julian Thew (210k) are the chipleaders with WSOP Main Event 2007 final tablist Alex Kravchenko in the middle of the pack on 100k. Pascal Perrault, who also cashed in London, has about 60k.
The blinds are 1.5k/3k with a 300 ante
