Day2 Round Up - Andy & Annette Annihilate All

The bubble has burst and the 24 players who will begin today’s play at 2pm are all guaranteed over €10,000. It will be an intriguing day as the two biggest names left in the tournament are currently the two chip leaders… and both are famed for their relentless aggression.

Andy Black will lead the field into Day 3 after a blistering session on Thursday.  A huge double up early in the evening had brought him above the 200k mark and once he had the bit between his teeth he never let go. Andy finished the day as chip leader with 350k.

Sitting to his left at the end of play was internet wunderkind Annette Obrestad who had built her stack to 280k and is second in chips.  The Norwegian teenager is already the stuff of legend topping off an incredible run of online victories by winning the innaugral WSOPE in London last month.

The Dublin EPT is far from being a two horse race however and the leaders will be keeping a very close eye on Obrestad’s fellow Norwegian, the extremely talented Johnny Lodden who is coming up close behind on 210k.

1. Andy Black 350k
2. Annette Obrestad 280k
3. Simon Munoz 280k
4. Casper Hansen 240k
5. Johnny Lodden 210k

Spare a thought for the bubble boys.  Tony Cascarino finished in 26th spot, falling just short of his second straight cash after his excellent performance in the EPT London.  David Colcough finished in 25th spot as his heartbreaking run in the EPT continues.  David has never cashed in an EPT event and incredibly this is the 3rd time he has finished on the actual bubble!
