Simon says - get your wallets out!

Make sure to get down to the RDS tomorrow to support Simon Poker Day - Europe’s largest charity poker event.

The tournament, which is in aid of the homeless, has a buy-in of €330 of which €100 goes directly to the charity and €200 goes into the prizepool.

The success of the event owes a great deal to the enthusiasm and hard work of Pardaig Parkinson who is one of the event organisers.

Last year over 200 players along with corporate and private donators raised just under €50,000 for homeless charity Simon Dublin and the event proved one of the most popular on the circuit attracting players such as Donnacha O’Dea, Jesse May, Scott Gray, Julian Gardner, ‘Mad’ Marty Wilson, Dave Colclough, Kevin O’Connell, Nick Leeson, Matthew Stevens, and Stephen Hendry. The event was won by former World Champion and three time Irish Open Champion Noel Furlong who will defend his title.
