JJ Liu builds her stack.

As I passed the star-studded Table 6, which features WSOP Bracelet winner Ciarán O’Leary, JJ Liu, and “that guy that played Mickey in Only Fools and Horses”, a hefty pot started a-brewing. Albert Sapiano limped in UTG+1, and JJ Liu made a raise to 450 (75-150 blinds) in middle position. Folded back to Sapiano, who makes the call.

Flop: 4d  Jh 8s

Sapiano checks, and Liu quickly bets 600, which Sapiano calls.

Turn: 4s

Sapiano leads out for 1000, and after apparently contemplating a raise, Liu makes the call.

River: 2c

Again, Sapiano throws in a blue 1000-value chip, and Liu calls. Sapiano flips over the JcQh, and Liu happily turns the JdKs, taking down the 6000 chip pot, bringing her stack up to 19k, while Sapiano is down to under 3k.

Blinds have just gone up to 100-200, so we’ll probably start seeing some sizable pots from here on out.

Keep the table 6 highlights coming! In fact, a hand-by-hand update might be good theatre. Appreciate any/all news.
