Poker ahoy - thanks to all for the well wishes!
I want to start this post off by thanking everyone who has been sending me in all the good wishes for the upcoming Main Event (it starts on July 3rd). Thanks a million my friends! You can rest assured that I’ll be trying very hard so keep the fingers crossed!
Anyway, to give you a poker update, I just got back to Las Vegas from Seattle and I met up with fellow PPP man Noel Hayes – and let me just say that he looks grand, well rested, so you can all rest easy as he’s definitely been behaving himself and getting to bed early!
I also spoke to Mr. Parkinson and Donnacha O’Dea over at the Bellagio, both were in very good form and ready to go in the big one.
I then had an ol’ banter with the Devilfish, which is always good. That man has more one-liners than anyone else I know! Laugh… it was great stuff! Anyway, after about a dozen quick jokes I was on my way up to have ONE drink at the bar before I settled in for the night. But of course who did I meet up there in full form, but Mad Marty Wilson, Jesse ‘The Voice’ May, John McGill and few other lads that are over for the Main Event – I tell ya now, what great craic it was! The stories were flying, the drink was cold and the company was top class!
And then to even better this, we got the word that our good friend Marty Smith was doing well and getting very deep in his PLO event…so keep it going Marty! Yes sir, good times indeed!
I’m going to take it easy for a day or two in preparation for the big one. I’ll check back in a couple of days - take care my friends!

That is one hefty payday…. and from the sounds of things, his Irish mates took control of the crowd. I’m thinking a pint or two might be raised tonight.
Tell Marty it was kind of him to set the table fer’ ya.
All the best!
Carry on, Carry on,
